Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative support to the Administrative Director. Duties include multiple functions regarding correspondence, communication, coordination among departments and other entities, data and record keeping, electronic filing, and contract preparation. 2. Assist in making meeting arrangements for the organizations and coordinating refreshments associated with meetings. 3. Manage KVRI website and create material for social media, display boards and other displays/ pamphlets for public outreach. 4. Serve as backup to Tribal Receptionist including skills to screen and route all incoming phone calls and visitors and electronically log and route all incoming mail. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a high school graduate; a candidate with a business school diploma or prior administrative support experience preferred. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of office and administrative experience. Valid Driver’s license and ability to be insured under Tribe’s policy Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing. Completion of required training courses as needed. Ability to work well with others. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe programs. Skilled in balancing a varied workload. Anticipate schedule mornings M-Th or two and one-half day. Late afternoon and evening hours once a month for KVRI meetings. The KTOI gives preference to Indian applicants in accordance with Chapter 19 of the KTOI Law & Order Code.
